About I'm wondering what everyone thought about Tuck Everlasting. I…

I'm wondering what everyone thought about Tuck Everlasting. I didn't read the book when I was younger, so I just recently finished it for a Children's Lit course I'm taking now. (As a senior at University.)

My questions are this:
-Which character was your favorite, and why?
-Which character was your least favorite, and why?
-Did you like the overall pace of the book?
-Did you like the overall description in the book?
-Did you like the ending?
-What would you have changed?

I can't control comments, so there may be spoilers for those of you who haven't read or finished the book. And I'd love to hear what people thought about the movie (which I've yet to see~ but I'm planning on renting it tomorrow night. ^_^).

P.S. Please let me know if this is an inappropriate forum for such a discussion. ^_^ Thank you!

Tuck everlasting....the first elegant tale I ever acounted regarding the fountain of youth. It was happy, sad, wistful, and always seemed to have a message lingering just out of perceiving.

The imagery paints a vivid picture, but not so diverting as to take away from the impetus of the story. I wanted her to stay with him, knew she wouldn't and despised it for coming true.

The movie. It does the tale justice. She is brilliant, and he is what you'd want him to be.

Enjoy it. Immensely.

Aren't those the best messages, though? The ones that just linger on the edge of your consciousness?

What other tales have you come by regarding the fountain of youth?

I haven't read the book, but I did see the movie. And the movie, I must say, was awesome. It was all romantic and wistful and whatnot.

P.S. Even though, technically, this post is against the rules, I'll let it go for now. This is, after all, a relatively new community with very few members, and so posting is good and happy. But in the future this kind of thing won't be allowed.

Thanks for your feedback. ^_^ I can't wait to see it.

P.S. I'll do better in the future. :) I'm terrible at following rules. *wink* I've got some more things (stories and poems) to post, but I'll wait a while to post them. XP Don't want to flood the board!

Oh, don't worry about it. The community isn't anywhere near big enough for me to be a Nazi about the rules yet.

And I can't wait to read what else you've written. From what I've seen so far, your stuff is pretty good.

Thanks! My minor is creative writing. I'm almost finished with school--I just hope Grad School isn't as killer as people say. O_O I'm sure it'll be fun though.

My poetry, on the other hand, isn't nearly as interesting as my prose. *wink* I'll make sure to post some of that, too. XD
